The year 1861; a simple question, "Should this nation cease to exist what would future generations think of us; a Godless nation?
From a letter written to the secretary of the treasury a 2 cent coin and the words imprinted "in God we trust" (our national motto)
It has come to my attention that those words printed on a card in a United States Post Office have come under attack! Some people are offended.
I am offended, we as Christians, we have every right to stand in Christ.
"I am the Lord, your God, and you shall not have no other Gods before me." If all good men do nothing, evil will triumph.
"In God we trust"
But blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in Him.
"In God we trust"
The Lord, He it is that go before thee; He will be with thee, He will not fail thee, neither forsake thee; fear not, neither be dismayed (Deuteronomy 31:8)
"In God we trust"
Behold I am with thee, and will keep thee in all places whither thou goest (Genesis 28:15)
"In God we trust"
This is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us, and if we know that He hears us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the partitions, that we desire of Him. (1 John 5:14-15)
"In God we trust"
Cast the burden upon the Lord, and He shall sustain thee. He shall never suffer the righteous to be moved. (Psalm 55:23)
"In God we trust"
Yes I am offended. It is our national motto – I ask we go forth to the whole world put “in God we trust” on every envelope, on every e-mail, every package, use it as a salutation. It is a message from our God!
"In God we trust"
"Thy love divine had led us in the past.
In this free land by thee our lot is cast.
Be though our ruler, guardian, guide, and stay.
Thy word our law, Thy paths our chosen way."
(God of our fathers)
I will bless the person who puts his trust in me (Jeremiah 17)
